The National Comprehensive Assessment for Public Safety

The National Comprehensive Assessment for Public Safety™ (NCAPS) is a new cutting edge assessment methodology developed by Campion, Barrow and Associates for the purpose of selecting the most qualified police and public safety personnel.

Our NCAPS™ methodology is the by-product of almost 30 years of assessment and consultation experience with public safety departments.  The method utilizes multiple sources of information from objective testing, background information, clinical interviews, and synthesizes them into an objective, valid, and highly defensible actuarial risk rating designed to predict job performance.

Included in the NCAPS™ methodology is a comprehensive stand-alone proprietary test inventory comprised of 6 independent assessments with corresponding subcategories.   These assessments include Antisocial Tendencies, Public Safety Work Compatibility, Stress Hardiness, Relational Skills, Integrity, and Mental Alertness.

Our NCAPS™ testing and methodology is the wave of the future in public safety evaluations that has been helped put into play by Campion, Barrow and Associates.  It takes into account the actuarial and traditional clinical model while negating the limitations of each approach respectively.  If you would like more information of our NCAPS™ methodology, please call an associate at (800) 292-3399 or email us at
